Displaying large amounts of data?

Saw this post which recommended looking at your plugin:

I'm trying to do the same thing i.e. display large amounts of data (about 1000 entries which have a thumbnail, title and description).
Will this plugin let me have a catalogue of products without slowing down C5 massively?

sry for the late reply.
This addon is a template for the page list block.
It's not possible so far as I know to display a category based set of page types with the page list block.
