Block Filter Ability?

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi,
I'm using your add-on and had the need to adapt the list layout to fit my page, but it worked.

Now I miss a basic feature to get vote-lists filtered from other blocks like tags and topics.
How to do that?
Or can you implement the "enable option" like in the core page list?

Best wishes
Danny

Well, I am not sure I understand what you are after…

Can you give me an example use case so I can get a better idea?

Hi,

what I mean is, that your vote page list cannot be filtered from other blogs e.g. a tag blog or topic list in the side bar. As it is possible with a core page list block. Because there is no option in it, like in the C5 core page list block, right?

Best wishes
Danny

Sorry for the (huge) delay, I tried to really figure out what you meant by this option, and tried to go in the c5 core page list to find anything that could be related to what you said, but I could not find anything.

Can you provide me an example /use case or any screenshot so I can understand what you are after?

Let's try to explain it different, so that you can understand what I mean.

For example I have 50 blog pages with your add-on to vote for these blog pages and on a different page I provide the voting list block from your add-on to show the ranking of the blog votes. Some of the blog are maybe tagged with "kid topic" and others with "adult topic"
The problem I have now would be: I don't know how (or maybe it's even not possible with your add-on) to get the tags ( for example on the left side ) used to filter the voting list accordingly, to show for example only the "kid topic" blog pages votes in the vote list or if the user select the tag "adult topic" only that parts of the vote list.

Is my problem now clear for you?

Well now yes it is clear.

Unfortunately there is no simple way to sort results by tags, or filter them using the builtin tags system.

Implementing it would also require quite some work, and I would have to have it billed (roughly 1 week of work I would say), I can PM you a quotation if you are interested.

Regards,

Ok, please send me a quota (fix price), so that I can make a decision.
