Version 1 features 

  •  Category Browser block
    • Concrete5 native
    • Built on AJAX technology. Fast, smart and without page reload
    • Products are displayed in a new tab/window
    • Configurable items (Concrete5 view):
      • Number of rows: You can set how much rows of categories or products want to display
      • Number of columns: Idem as previous item, but related to columns. NOTE: If you can not display all categories stored in the virtual store (the dataserver), please, increase this and last values

      • Timeout for loading data from the data server
        • Progress spinner dissapears when time expires

    • IP block range configurable
    • Products must be associated to one or more categories. Orphan products will not be displayed
    • If catId is not set in the URL, system will display root category
  • Loads data from Magento Web Services. No plugins for Magento are needed 

Version 2 features

  • Prestashop driver. You can connect to a Prestashop server by using its API. PHP5 CURL extension is needed. Showing first currency by default
  • Root category. You can set up your root category, starting your showcase from that one
  • Default image for products
  • Default image for categories
  • Show/hide 'All taxes inc.' message
  • Show "No products found" message if there is no more categories to show and the last one is empty
  • Added tooltips for products (on mouse event). You can show more info about the product by hovering your mouse on it

Limitations

Notice that this package is built to show "standard" categories, products and price policies. Applying "special policies" like specific prices, discounts or variable taxes can be ignored or even misunderstood by this software. In some cases vendor API and drivers do not give enough information to display some kind of data. If you are interested in displaying more data or have any questions, please contact me.
