Do you plan on adding additional Wordpress Widgets like Search and Calendar?

I have thought about it. One of the things about search, however, is that it seems that search should be integrated with Concrete's search block. Do you think that is true, or do you think it should be a separate search field, specific to blog posts?

I also wondered if the calendar was necessary, having the ability to display years and months, but I suppose it would be useful if you had a specific day in mind, or wanted to collapse the navigation into a smaller space?

I guess you could use the search for the whole site even though I could see uses where someone would only want to search the blog posts.

I only asked about the calendar widget because I liked the look of it on wordpress. I was only curious if you had plans to implement any other widgets from wordpress so that it was easy to make it look like one of their blog pages.

Hi again,

I just wanted to give you an update to some improvements that have occurred since you last asked your question.

You can now use the add-on with either cURL or AJAX as the transport method. A nice "New Post" button is added to the C5 header menu when logged in as an administrator and visiting your blog page. Post categories are now displayed by default in the footer of each post (but this is hidden if you aren't using categories in your posts)

I just added a WordPress Search block ... you can add this to a page with a WordPress Entries block on it, and they'll work together to provide search results. I haven't officially added a calendar yet, but the hooks are already in place to be able to filter results by date. I may be able to add a calender-style navigation as an option to the Archives block, or perhaps as a custom template. They both use the same functionality, but display it differently.
