- I want to display all posts of categories C1 and C2 in a block

Currently, you can force a specific category on a WordPress Entries block. This isn't available from the choices when editing, but can be done with a lightweight display template.

Unfortunately, the way that the JSON API works, it is not possible to mix multiple types of filtering. So, if you force a specific category, the tags, archives and search blocks will not work in tandem.

At one point, I was going to add an edit option so that you could force a specific category, but when I realized that the other options would not work as well, I disabled it because I did not want to "inexplicably" kill support for the other blocks.

One possibility would be to find if the JSON API add-on can be extended to provide filtering based on multiple factors. The standard WordPress APIs do not, but if we could make this possible, it probably would be really nice?

I don't think that it would allow filtering by multiple categories, though... is that very important?

Yes, it was important for what I wanted to do... It was a mean to stick some posts at the top of my webpage.

This is not the subject, but with the time, I regret not to have used wordpress for my whole website, as I see that Concrete5 plugins are very expansive and not so flexible comparing to Wordpress ones.

Now I have a Concrete5 website, it would be a heavy work to convert it to Wordpress with the same design :(
