Import Existing WP Blog Entries

Permalink Browser Info Environment
We're looking to display an existing WP blog on our C5 site. Attempted the ProBlog WordPress Importer, but it seems as though that could not handle the # of posts and was fairly buggy to the point that it demanded too much maintenance. Once WP is installed within C5 and then utilizing WordPress for Concrete5, will we have the capability to export/import our 1,000+ existing posts into C5?

My understanding of this add-on is that is simply pulls the data from your Wordpress blog dynamically and shows it in the concrete5 page template. It doesn't actually import your entries into C5 (you can't then edit the entries from C5) it only displays your data, pulled from you WP database inside a concrete5 page.

Yep, it's designed to preserve WordPress as the backend, so you can continue using WordPress to write new blog posts, or to serve up plugins like cross-posting to Twitter/Facebook and other functions that WordPress does from the server-side. Instead of maintaining two sites on the client side (one design in WordPress and one design in Concrete) this helps you integrate WordPress content into Concrete as a block, but it creates virtual URLs so that you have the full taxonomy of a full blog
