responsive scaling of Atuo-Nav

I'm using concrete5 8.2 with Baseline.
The Auto-Nav block is Baseline-dropdown, and scales for Laptop/PC/Phone ok.
But for Tablet in portrait mode, as well as small sized PC-browsers the size of the firs navigation item is reduced.
The free box-space on the left side of the FIRST nav-item is gone. Doesn't matter if it is selected or not.
It only happens on the first nav item, and only in this resolution/browser-size.
Have tested it with two different C5 v8.2 installations and different content.
Any help on this?
