Site wide header blocks

I would like to widen the site wide header block so that the logo on the upper left corner is wider, to approximately 2/3 of the header area. It will basically need to butt up against the block on the upper right hand corner. I have tried different blocks and even disabled the grid - no luck.

I would love the logo to fill the area more and be centered. The block constraints are shown in the screenshot. Thanks!

I have made the logo area 2/3 of the header area.
I have attached the edited header.php file.
Please overwrite the current header.php file with the attached file.
package->cg_baseline->themes->cg_baseline->inc->header.php
