Re columns - I presume you mean the built in layout tool? This is not built with responsive sites in mind, so can break the flow of your document when added. We would recommend not using layouts. This is not a theme issue. You might try to edit the page type to the columns as areas. This would require some basic knowledge of concrete5 areas but it is covered in the online documentation on concrete5.org. Please keep a back up of your original files should you go this route.
Re the problems, we can see missing images on some pages but not others. Again not a theme issue, most likely how you have you concrete5 system set up. Try clearing the cache and turning caching off if you are using it.
