I also purchased this theme and my video won't play even when I press the play button on my iPhone 6S. I even tried the demo site and the video won't play. I see the play button, but it doesn't do anything. Any thoughts?
Hi,
What video format are you using? I have been checking regularly for webkit/safari news for workarounds on Apple's very strict video playback issue.

I used webm. I was looking at it in chrome on my iphone so i just looked at it in safari and same thing. I did notice that when i went to your demo site, in safari i hit play and it played in a video player then when I closed the player i saw the tree background. Is that just an image of the trees set as a banner behind the video? If that's the case, then i'm fine with that, just wasn't sure how that is done
my test site is jamaica.mindseyeportal4.com
Hi again,
I just tested it on an Iphone6 with ios version 9.3 and can verify the problem. I think the latest mobile safari has removed the video background entirely and settled to do it on a player. I will be releasing a newer version of this theme with a still image fallback (cutom attribute) for ios. I hope you are alright with this compromise. Give me a day or two to put it together.
I do apologise for this inconvenience.
By the way, I really like the video you are using.
Kind regards,
James

sounds good. let me know when you have the update. Also, i've never updated a theme before so i'll have to figure out how to do that.
Thanks

Hello again,
I have released version 1.3.3 which has the IOS fallback custom attribute. You can add an image to that attribute and it will be used as a fallback for IOS devices.
To update your theme kindly go to add functionality on the dashboard and click update on the button next to the theme. There might be some sql errors when you upgrade (i removed some ugly codes which i shouldnt have) but please ignore.
Let me know how it goes.
Best regards,
James

This same client of mine wants me to do 2 more sites with this same theme, so i'm going to purchase them, but they are asking me why it has ©C5BOX Framework at the bottom. They want their name as the copyright for the images and content, and since they are paying for it, can I take that off, and if so, what source file is it in?

Hi,
The copyright is just a content block. You can put your site on edit mode, click it, and delete. It is somewhat tricky to click though, because of other areas surrounding it.

James

Just realized that my video doesn't play in Safari. I checked out your demo site and yours plays in safari but I don't understand why mine won't. Take a look at this in safari:

Hi,
Are you using webm format? I have read issues with safari not playing nice with non-standard apple formats. Try converting the video to mp4.
I hope this helps.

James

that fixed it. thank so much for you quick responses
Are you viewing it on IOS? Apple is very strict with autoplaying videos on IOS and currently there is no way to autoplay it. That's is why you wont see the video after loading the page unless you click the play button. I've added a button where users can click to play the video background on mobile.
Hopefully Apple will change how video on IOS behave on their next update. Anyway, is there anything else I can help you with?
Kind regards,
James
