Page unavailable for editing

I'm experiencing all sorts of problems since upgrading to Version 8. Uploading photos takes forever and often leaves me hanging, with no option but to close the browser and start again.
This message concerns a page called Photo Album, where I use the Image Lightbox block to add galleries of recent events. I last edited the page on 5th December, when I deleted some old galleries and added some new ones. Today, I can neither visit the page or edit it. (I've tried going via the Sitemap and going via a link on the My School page. Occasionally it loads the page, but not with any editing buttons at the top)

Any ideas? Following a recent support request, when pages became uneditable after adding a Documents block, it was suggested that the CSS and Java Script cache should be turned off, but that makes no difference to this issue.

Reading you ticket, this does not sound theme specific but rather server related. There are no errors to suggest there are any problems with any js resources in this case.
I can see in console that you have a 500 error on that page... this is server related and could be a number of things. Not something we can help you diagnose unfortunately.
However, If it was me I would look to increase the max_execution_time - speak to your host about how to do this. If you have tons of images on the page then it could just be a time out issue. This sound likely as you have mentioned that sometimes the page loads and other times not.
Cheers
Andy
