Adding a JPG or PNG Logo

I would like to know how to go about Adding a JPG or a PNG Logo to banner of page. I want this visible on all pages.

I have played with the CSS a little bit, but am still learning things, so I don't know quite what I need.

I would certainly appreciate any help on this.

You should look for the necessary code in the header.php file and the corresponding attributes in the main.css file.
