Text Over Slideshow

I recently bought this theme and have been working with it. I cannot find alot of documentation and am wondering how you overlay the text over the slideshow images? Thanks for any help.

If you select the Home layout for the homepage you get this area and you can edit and add text right away. If you can't find the layout, check our FAQ at vivatemplates.com/support
Thanks so much for your reply. It took me a bit...I didn't realize I needed to activate the "Home" page. Once I did that now it looks like I can work on it. Thanks again for your quick response.
