Error on installation

Permalink Browser Info Environment
I'm getting an error every time I try to install Pixel 2 theme. After reloading, the theme is completely empty, with no content to edit.

Hi,
Did you install the theme in an empty instance of concrete5 or an instance with core sample content? If the former (empty one) is your case, plz, first install the c5 with the core sample contents before installing the theme.

I have tried multiple settings. The error above is when installing the theme over the sample content. When trying to install on an empty instance (no sample content on concrete5 installation), we get a different error (attached).

Edit:
Core sample content, choosing "No" when installing Pixel: We get pixel working, but the content is all wrong and look nothing like your demo site

Core sample content, choosing "Yes" when installing Pixel: We get the error on my first post

No core sample content, choosing "Yes" when installing Pixel: We get the error on this post

No core sample content, choosing "No" when installing Pixel: Pixel installs, but with a completely empty site

Getting out of options =(

I guess the problem caused by your MySql "sql-mode" which is set to:
ONLY_FULL_GROUP_BY,STRICT_TRANS_TABLES,NO_ZERO_IN_DATE,NO_ZERO_DATE,ERROR_FOR_DIVISION_BY_ZERO,NO_AUTO_CREATE_USER,NO_ENGINE_SUBSTITUTION

Could you switch to
STRICT_ALL_TABLES
And see whether it rectifies the situation?

In case you don't know how to do this, it can be changed by your phpmyadmin:
Variables: sql-mode (check the screenshot)
After changing it, the MySQL service should be restarted, and you should be able to see the new value for sql-mode in councrete5 "Dashboard > Environment Information".

Oddly... I too was having this issue in my Hostmonster and InMotionHosting accounts and found that if I install Version 2.1 first, all pages and content install. I then upgraded to 2.3 just fine. Installing 2.3 on a clean site installs with NO content every time. Not sure if that helps... but 2.3 always gives me trouble on install.

Hi Shahroq,

That did it! After changing that setting I reset the installation, installed core content, and then when installing Pixel I chose the option to reset site content and all went well.

Thank you very much for you time and support!
