Whale Slider on Pixel Theme - won't open to edit.
Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hello,
I'm just getting started populating this site using the Pixel theme and running into trouble with editing the Whale Slider. I began by editing the current slider, deleting the sample data and installing two new slides. This I had some trouble with so I deleted the slider block and started over. I have no trouble installing the block and adding content to slides and saving. But, once saved, I cannot open the Whale Slider block in edit mode. I click on the block and the popup menu displays, I click on Edit Block and all I ever see is the loading status bar growing from left to right, ending about 1/3 of the width of the window and nothing else. I can't get it to load the block into edit mode. I have cleared C5 cache, Chrome browser cache, closed and reopened Chrome, and nothing helps. Looking at the Chrome Inspector Console, it appears there may be a jquery conflict causing this, but not sure what would cause that. I'm not using any blocks outside of what comes with Pixel. Do you have any clues for me? Below is a copy of the errors reported on the Chrome Inspector Console for your review, if that helps:

Hi,
I fixed the issue on our master copy and it will be available in the next upcoming version. Till then you can override the attached file manually in :
\packages\theme_pixel\blocks\whale_image_slider\form_setup_html.php
Thanks for reporting the issue.

Now the Content Block can't be edited. You should still have access to login and take a look. You will find when you click on a Content block ( the one with text in it in the lower half of the home page ) then click Edit Block you will see the text change to a much smaller font and no editor panel above. The click on the text and the editor panel appears. But there is no Save button on the panel. You can make edits, but you can't save them.
Hi,
This problem has nothing to do with the theme. As I see a js snippet has been inserted into the page via "Header Extra Content" attribute which should be to blame.

You are correct. Sorry to bother you with this. I made the mistake of including the jquery source statement that wasn't needed since jquery is already loaded and available. Deleting that line corrects the problem. Thanks for the heads-up! I really do like your theme!
Welcome, and thanks for the compliment.
Cheers,
Cheers,
I DO plan to post a very positive review for you once I have completed this site so I have a more comprehensive perspective of this theme. Give me a couple weeks or so.
Thanks again,
Steve
