Demo installation - Where is the database to be replaced?

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hello,

I just bought and installed the Replica PRO template. I was expecting some demo pages to be able to start with something previously designed, but the template comes absolutely naked.

Later I've found these instructions to install it:

1. Download the Database of the demo site with sample files here:
https://replica-pro.xanium.io/application/files/replica-pro.zip...

2. Change the folder /application/files in your installation with the folder in the zipfile and replace the database with demo DB included

3. Login with username: admin, password: admin (do not forget to change it immediately)

As I'm not experienced I cannot understand all the instructions. Could you please put a bit of light to these questions?

a. "...and replace the database with demo DB included." WHERE CAN I FIND THE DATABASE TO BE REPLACED?

b. "Login with username: admin, password: admin" WHERE?

Thank you.

This is not fair! You just have updated the Replica PRO Documentation page by adding this:

you can download the Database of the demo site with sample files here:

For ConcreteCMS v8:https://replica-pro.xanium.io/application/files/replica-pro.zip...
For ConcreteCMS v9: Coming Soon

It wasn't specified before that the demo site with sample files for ConcreteCMS v9 was not available.

I've become mad trying to make it work. I needed a quick and easy template with demos to set up a new web.

Anyway, thanks for the project.

Hello webmestric,

We apologize for the late reply, our sample version is almost ready and it's currently being tested.

To get back to your questions, basically these instructions are for advanced users and assume that you're starting your website from scratch.

So it's supposed that you've already access to your database and you can make a backup and know how to restore it. you need also the access to your website files.

Our Sample Backup contains ConcreteCMS files that will replace your files under /application/files and contains also a backup for the database. if you have installed your ConcreteCMS website already then you should have access to the database, you still also can get these accesses from /application/config/database.php and depending on your Hosting panel (Plesk, cPanel, ..., or Custom interface) you can find how to access the database in related documentation or you can contact your Hosting Support.

b. "Login with username: admin, password: admin" WHERE?
These credentials should be used to access your website dashboard after importing Sample Database backup to your server.

Hope that helps.

Kind regards,
Hamed
