Version 9.0.2 upgrade from 8.5.7 breaks

Permalink Browser Info Environment
I'm still unable to upgrade from Concrete CMS 8.5.7 to 9.0.2. I could track this down to the following line in salix/themes/salix/elements/header.php (the follow-up error line in CustomStyle.php is also attached):

<!-- Custom styles for this theme -->
<link href="<?php  echo $view->getStylesheet('main.less')?>" rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>

I'm not a PHP or HTML developer, but when above code is deleted from the script, then the 9.0.2 website actually does load, but obviously without the Salix styles applied, And for some reason the environment still says it's on 8.5.7. But at least some step forward.

It's realy a big issue not to able to upgrade Salix to Concrete CMS 9, also due to the now missing security updates. Your help therefore would be much appreciated here.

Best regards,
Stefan

Hi Stefan,

I apologise for the problems that you have experienced trying to update to concrete5 version 9 using Salix. Unfortunately, we have come to the difficult decision not to provide a version 9 update for Salix. We initially had hoped to update the theme, but there are a lot of changes required to make it version 9 friendly.

We have recently stopped updating and providing support for our themes. If you would like, I can recommend a developer who may be able to assist you, or you could post a job on the concrete5 jobs forum requesting assistance in upgrading.

Best wishes,

Jennifer
