Help can't seem to find the CSS file to edit

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi - excuse me if I'm being thick but I'm trying to find the CSS to edit the right sidebar. My firebug is asking for a file called /index.php/tools/packages/theme_silence/blender.css?c=1&mobile=false I can't seem to find this file blender.css file. Any ideas anyone - quite a fundamental really. I've tried editing the style.css but this doesn't seem to work.

Hi,

Blender is just a script that compile all css file in one. You can find it in theme_silence/tools/blender.js.php. This file call another in elements/blender_code.css.php
But i think that is not what you search..?

Hi Seb, thanks for getting back to me I just need to know what css file I should edit in the theme. I use Firebug a lot to see where my styles are and its pointing to this javascript. When I edit style.css in the home directory it doesn't seem to make a difference. If I add custom styles to style.css will they work? Firebug usually tells me where I need to look but I don't have that. Could you briefly outline what styles do what in terms of layout and typography. Many thanks

Seb - can you come back to me on this urgently now...not sure why the CSS is so hard to find. I have tried editing the #logo div in style.css in the theme home directory. This doesn't change anything so I need some explanation as to what to edit. There's nothing in the documentation about this.

Seb I'm getting very upset by your lack of response to this simple question. Why can I not edit the CSS your silence is beginning to really bug me - your theme is aptly named.

I have a business to run and have paid you $50 for a premium theme. The least you can do is get me going so I can edit it. Where is this blender.css that Firebug keeps referring to and I can't find. If I edit style.css which is the obvious one with all the comments and markup - nothing happens.

Due to your lack of help I've had to go to the public forum to a specialist who can't find the correct file either....where have you hid it?? Please put me on the right track by tomorrow lunchtime or I will leave a negative review and demand a refund.

I'm simply trying to move the #logo up 5px with the code in style.css but its not updating on the site. It's quite clearly in the code but its not updating...Why is this..?

Hi,

The best way to move the logo to the top is to add a style to the block and a as top margin a négative number, like -5px.. No need to work on the theme css..

hmmm not sure I want to just use the design function to move and adjust things. I can't understand why if I change style.css that nothing happens. I'm not sure if I can carry on with this theme if I have no access to adjust the CSS. Please provide me a workable solution to this problem. At the moment if I change style.css nothing happens. If I can't resolve this I will have to ask for a refund as I can't work with that...

Hey Chassa2556,

Did you ever get this to work? I'm in the same situation as you and haven't heard back from sebastienj.

I've been editing all sorts of css files on the server but haven't found one that actually reflects any changes. I even found the blender.css.php file, but that file does not contain any styling in it. Just a page of references and commands leading to nowhere!

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Eventually heard back from Sebastien on asking for a refund due to this. He has upgraded the latest version of the theme to include a CSS overide style.css still can't be found by Firebug due to the fact that there is some JavaScript picking up a stylesheet the you can't change. Still not happy really at all the overide stylesheet you can change but you have to manually find it. Hope this helps an upgrade would help but still not ideal.

Here's my page that I'm working on:

http://96.31.248.52/index.php/gxp2200...

The content that is found on the tabs. For example, the text on the Overview tab does not match the text style in the Specifications tab. The css always refers to the blender.css files, but that's in PHP.

I've tried making the changes to the following locations:

/var/www/packages/theme_silence/themes/silence/style.css

and

var/www/packages/theme_silence/themes/silence/css/static.css

Here's the css section that I've been trying to also find and edit:
/index.php/tools/packages/theme_silence/blender.css?c=134&mobile=false

From the looks of it, it's something that's dynamically generated. I've been trying to make adjustments to the font.

Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Here's an example of what I've beent trying to edit:

blender.css:1014
media="screen"
@media screen
h3 {
font-size: 1.5em;
margin: 0 0 .57em;
color: #00728F;
}

gxp2200
media="screen"
blender.css:1014@media screen
h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6 {
font-family: ColaborateThinRegular, Arial, sans-serif;

Look at
/packages/theme_silence/themes/silence/style.css
Typography & elements

Do not forget clean cache after changes.

Where is this 'Overide style sheet"?

Any edits I make to either style.css or any other .css file have no effect at all.

Hi,

To edit stylesheet, the best is to create a file and place it to root/css/silence/styles.css
This file will override all stylesheet. Put in hte code you want to override.

LEt me know
