Sortable Columns

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi,

Are there anu tutorials on how to setup sortable columns as seen on
http://silence.myconcretelab.com/pages-list/pages-list-sortable/2-c...

I've experimented with quite a few settings - but am obviously missing something..

Thanks

I don't know if you ever got an answer but I was looking for this too and just found out how. If you check out the documentation Step 2 here...http://silence.myconcretelab.com/documentation/how-i-made-the-home-... They show you how to add a 3 col sortable page list like they did at the bottom of the sample home page.

Basically add a page list and set it up so the various items you want are in the list. Then click on the content box like you would to choose to edit the block (when you are in edit mode) but choose Custom Template instead. You should then see a drop down list of template options. Choose the sortable column option you want and then publish the page.

Hope it works for you (if you hadn't already figured it out) or now maybe anyone else looking that run across this question will see how to do it.

So far so good. But where can I find the possibility to costumize the Sorter? Which Pages I will display (as shown in the Silence Website)?

Did anyone ever respond to you on this? When you set up the sortable page list, you get the Original and Alphabetical buttons, but the demo website also has sorting features for HTML PHP, etc....how do we set those customer sorting buttons and have the items show up under "DISPLAY:" ???

Solved!

Go to this page:

http://silence.myconcretelab.com/pages-list/pages-list-sortable/...

...it shows that you have to:

-create a custom attribute first
-assign individual attributes to every page you want categorized
-add page list block to show those categories,
-select for the page list block "custom template" --> Sortable 1/2/3/4 column as you need

Go to Dashboard --> Pages & Themes --> Attributes --> Add --> Select

And then make your page look like the one I just linked to, but with your own values in the bottom.

Then go to each page: Edit --> Properties --> Custom Attributes --> Category (at the bottom of the left hand list) --> Select Whatever category you want.

.....then the page-list works!
