There's no reason why this wouldn't be supported in 5.5, there's no changes that affect how a theme works.

I don't know the eta of 5.5 though.

haha - I posted this having not realized 5.5 was out until later that day. That said, this is now available for 5.5, but due to it missing scrapbooks, it's going to miss the logo-love.
