Customization of slate template

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi

Is it in any way possible to (easy) an image to the backgound, that wil fill everyting in the header? It needs to scale down in mobile view. The same thing is wanted for the footer.

I also have a lot of space arround the whole content area. I think it's a waste of space :) How do I get rid of it?

See this thread for the header image:

For the space around content area, you'll need to reduce the padding on #wrapper in the theme's main.css file (theme_slate/themes/slate/main.css).

Sweet:)

Is it possible to make the mouse over menu item better, when devices with touchscreen are used? It is pretty difficult to do a mouse over on touchscreens?

Yeah, that's something I'll address in a future version. Not really sure the best way to handle it now. It seems to work decent though on my iPhone/iPad. What device is it not working well for you on?

My Xperia Ray and other android devices. An option could be to enable click to open?

Ok, I'll keep that in mind. Yeah it'll probably work where clicking the caret will expand the sub menu, but clicking on the page name will take you to that page. Or something like that.
