Deleting Thin Line on Home Page Template

Is there a way to delete this thin line on the home page? I'm not using the 3 columns in this layout so the thin line intended to separate sections doesn't make sense here. Thanks so much!

Simply remove the 
<hr />
tag from the home.php page type file located at packages/theme_slate/themes/slate/home.php.
