Disable drop down through custom attribute?

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi! I'd like to be able through a custom attribute disable the top menu to show a drop down for any subpages. Some pages simply have too many subpages.

I can get around it by disabling it completely from showing in the top nav, and then adding a custom link that hard links back to that page. But that's not a very good solution.

Just add a custom checkbox attribute with the handle "exclude_subpages_from_nav" and check that on the parent page.
