Heading

Permalink Browser Info Environment
I am trying to put a heading on the Slate theme. I need it to go in the box above the navigation bar, filling up the entire space but, not the with of the page. Is this possible and if so, how?

Thanks,
John

By heading to you mean text or a header graphic? Could you maybe give me a visual of what you're trying to do?

Thanks

I attached a screen shot of the theme. The white area above the navigation bar where the slate logo is and This is the Header Top Area.

I hope this helps,

John

John, I know what area you are talking about I just needed clarification as to what you mean by heading (text or an image). Thanks.

Probably the best way to do it then would be to give the header element a background image. So, add something like this to the main.css file or add it to the custom CSS box in Dashboard->Page & Themes->Customize button next to the Slate theme:
header {
background:url(path/to/your/image.jpg) no-repeat center top;
}

When do you expect to upgrade the slate theme to 5.5?

Frozenace,
