Increase form text field in ie 8

where can I increase the form text field for ie 8. it display really small and look awkward.

You can modify the width of the form text field in the main.css file (theme_slate/themes/slate/main.css). Modify the width property on line 481 - look for this declaration:

#container input[type="password"],
#container input[type="email"],
#container textarea,
#container select {

Thanks for responding. I did that already but It does not affect ie 8. I am really confuse and don't know what to do. Site is aready live. Please I need help.

Problem was from form block css. sovled by changing css property of form block.
