Menu collapse on Slate

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hello - me again. Sorry to bother you. Was wondering if any of your responsive sites collapse into an icon, Then expand and collapse on touch. Most responsive sites when shrunk down the nav bar collapses to an icon with four bars on top of each or an arrow or the word MENU clickable ( ie.e bootstrap nevs ) then when clicked the menu would look like the one that you have on your template. When I check my site on a phone all I see is buttons - Haven't gone into the coding of the menu yet - just thought I would inquire before I do just in case you have already done a modification for someone else. Or if someone else has done this modification would wish to share.

I will be incorporating something similar to this in an upcoming version of Slate. My new Structura theme uses the Foundation framework and has that functionality.

Did manage to get the menu collapse working - seehttp://www.langleycruise-in.com...

Just made a div with the bars in it and then did a jquery copy/hide with the css classes.

Only problem I have is the arrow hover on an android phone doesn't seem to work - I am going to use a work-around so when the main menu item is clicked the top level has the sub menu at the top of the left column - so it appears first on the android screen.
