New Blocks are causing site to drop my C5 Edit bar

I have been trying to add new Blocks to two different pages on my site, but they are not working correctly and, more importantly, they are causing the C5 Edit header to disappear.

I believe I have identified when the problem occurs in a new Block using IMAGES. If I use an Image from my File Manager that I have uploaded before today, all works fine, but as soon as I use an image that I have uploaded THIS MORNING, then the Page crashes. I have noticed that my uploaded images today are not showing any thumbnails in the File Manager... must be related?
RESOLVED..... By just uploading the same image but in .PNG.... Weird but the JPG out of Photoshop caused a major issue with the site. All resolved now and maybe useful if anyone else discovers this issue.
