Yeah that area gets auto populated from the page name, page description and then there's a breadcrumb nav. On the Home page change the design to Home (Hover over Edit and choose Design. Then select the Home page type. The Home page type doesnt output that info). If you want to get rid of that stuff on all other pages you can go into each of the page type files located in packages/theme_slate/themes/slate and comment out or remove this line:

Or you can just go into the pagemeta.php file (located at packages/theme_slate/themes/slate/elements) and remove whatever you dont want there.

I am very new at this, and am having the same problem. I was excited to see a solution, but I'm not sure how to GET to the page type files and packages. Can you give me specific directions to find these files so I can adjust them?

For the home page, see my comment above about changing that to the Home page type. If you want to edit it for any other page types, you'll need to look on your server where concrete5 is installed (via FTP or your host's file manager). You'll want to look in the packages directory (not concrete/packages).
