Removing the word HOME from underneath the nav bar in Slate Theme

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hey there- Im a complete beginner at this and have maneuvered around ok until this issue- but I just can't figure out how to remove the word home front the main page! Not the bit in the navigation tab, but the bit right underneath. Can someone explain in the simplest language possible?

Thanks so much!

Same for me. Can't figure out how to simply remove the "home" text from my site. Seems to be difficult for a beginner. The suggested links don't seem to work for me. Does someone has other suggestions?

If you just change the home page's page type to 'Home' it wont display it.

Thanks for the reply. I've tried that suggestion, or at least I think I did. I went to: Dashboard>Pages&Themes>Page Types and Settings "edit this page"(see attachments). It seems to me that Page Type is already on "Home". What am I doing wrong?

Nope, that's the wrong place. Go to your Home page. Hover over Edit in the concrete5 toolbar and select Design. Choose the "Home" page type. Save.

Thanks again for your reply! Found it, and did exactly what you've suggested. But I still have 'home' appearing on my site. I want to get rit of the word 'home' from my site.

Only thing that 'worked' if i delete 'h1' in 'inspect element'. But I do not know how to get in this template file to realy delete this 'h1' commando.

But is there a more simple way to get rit of the word 'home' or do I need to get into this file? If so, how to get there and save the edits?

If you change the page type to the Home page type you should not still be seeing Home outputted. Are you sure you saved it and published? Also, maybe try clearing your site cache (Dashboard->System & Settings->Clear Cache). Also try clearing your browser cache.

Thanks! Yep, saved it & published. But also after clear cash and clearing browser "home" is still displayed. Seems a persistent problem.

Try going to Dashboard->Pages and Themes and click Inspect next to the Slate theme. Is the Home page type already installed?
Oh, wait you said before you went Page Types and edited the Home page type there. Did you change the handle at all? It should be home - if it's not that's what is making things not work.

See attachment. That is how it is at this moment. Is this correct? Both are ok I think?

Nope, the handle should be home (with a lowercase h)
