Slide show in Header

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Hi!
I know it's been a while, and there isn't a "problem" with the theme. I simply want the slideshow to be more fluid.
The slideshow in Header "Whites out" instead of blending one picture into the next. Is there any way to change this programmatically? I am not afraid to try if you can suggest how or where?
Thanks!

Arlene

Hi Arlene

You would have to delve into the world of jQuery a bit to change how this works.
The jQuery for the slideshow is in the header.php file. If you open that file you'll see it.

You'll need to rip out the function that is in there and find another function online that can change the animation how you want.

Thanks
Dave

Thanks - if it were something like changing a variable, I could handle it, but swapping out a whole script is above my pay grade.
What about making that area editable and using a slideshow block? Or is that involving other problems?

I think your idea of making it editable and adding an area with a slideshow block is a good one and should work well.
Let me know how it goes :)
