Menu animation

Permalink Browser Info Environment
In the sample of this theme, I notice the dropdown menus fade in. Yet after installing my theme, although the menus are properly styled, I'm not sure how to turn on animation effects. Can you give me a pointer?

Hi again.

There is not a setting to turn this on and off, it should simply just work?

Are you viewing both your site and the demo in the same browser?

Do you have a URL I can take a look at please?

Thanks
Andy

Chrome, Safari and Firefox (all latest versions) on Mac OS X 10.9.2 exhibit this identical behavior (i.e., no menu animation).

Took some digging but I have found the issue.

The demo site runs on a slightly earlier version of the theme and I found one line in the autonav custom template that does this.

If you look in this file packages/urban/blocks/autonav/templates/horizontal-nav.php and navigate to line 236 you will see:

echo '<ul class="hover_controls">'; //opens a dropdown sub-menu

If you change this to :

echo '<ul>'; //opens a dropdown sub-menu

That will give you the animation back - this additional class handles some specify iPad dropdown functionality so it is a trade off really.

Thanks
Andy
