Selected Page - Show Children In-Line

Permalink Browser Info Environment
Does this vertical version have the option to show the children of the current page beneath it? So, for example, you see the 1st level children of the currently selected page directly beneath (like a regular un-ordered list).

I'm not quite sure if I'm following your question, but you can format the current active page as well as parent pages within the menu if you wish (eg. make the links a different colour) so the user can easily tell what part of the site they're on that the time.

If you want to show the sub-pages of the current page, then a regular "autonav" block would do the trick. But if you want to show them within the actual Mega Menu block at the top level, then no, it doesn't do that (out of the box - but it is possible with enough CSS tweaking).

I hope I've answered your question. If anything is unclear, please let me know.

That's what I was trying to say... Well ANYTHING is possible with enough CSS tweaking ;) I was hoping that perhaps that would be there out of the box. Honestly, for the vertical menu, you may want to consider adding an "accordion" option in addition to fly-out. On verticals you kind of expect a vertical accordion hide/show action, where-as with horizontal you expect the fly-out. At least that seems more intuitive to *me*. ;)

Currently I have your horizontal mega menu, and I'm considering using the vertical to compliment it. If I do that, will they both have their own javascript file to download, or is there any possibility of code re-use between the two to save on page size?

I appreciate your feedback. There aren't any immediate plans at the moment to add an accordion option but if there is enough demand then I'm happy to consider it.

The JavaScript can't be shared between the 2 types if mega menu as some of the code is different and incompatible with each other. Once each file is downloaded to the browser it is cached so the performance hit should be minimal. But they shouldn't cause any conflict being on the same page.

Hope this helps.
