Spam comming through comments

The basic captcha that is used for pro blog and simple blog is no longer stopping spam for one of my clients in the comments section. Do you have any recommendations for coding in a better spam blocker? Have others had this problem?

We have a ProBlog that is suddenly being flooded with spam. I've tried turning on moderation and even ticking off the comments box and nothing is stopping it from coming through and showing up. That's why I'm here looking for solutions!

Same here but it's been happening for over a month. Nothing stops them...

We need a fix & better controls.

Something has to be able to stop the spammers from flooding the comments with their stupid nonsense.

Chat Strat gave me an answer that works. A stronger CAPTCHA which is in the core of C5. See:http://www.concrete5.org/community/forums/customizing_c5/need-a-bet...

I understand your concerns. unfortunately, this is core block. not mine.

You could go grab the improved guestbook that's free in the marketplace, and has better captcha. You could then simply replace the page_type defaults with it.
