mysql error: [1062: when installing

Permalink Browser Info Environment
A client of mine bought this block and when I install it I get an error.

mysql error: [1062: Duplicate entry 'calendar' for key 2] in EXECUTE("insert into PageTypes (ctHandle, ctName, ctIcon, pkgID) values ('calendar', 'Calendar', 'main.png', '6')")

I tried re downloading it and installing it again but no luck.

Can you help me get this working? Thanks!

No problem, here's Ryan's response to a similar problem:

"Does the calendar addon show that it's installed when you go to this page:
Dashboard -> Add Functionality

If it does, uninstall it (don't remove the package's directory).

Then go to:
Dashboard -> Pages & Themes -> Page Types
make sure you don't have any page types with the handle 'calendar' or 'calendar_event'. If you do, either rename the handle of those, or remove them.

Then try to install the package again."

Let me know if that works, or not...

Looks like I spoke to soon. A fatal error comes up now. I attached a pic, its a little dark but should still serve its purpose.

Rats. Can you access your dashboard?

You should be able to fix this. Might be as easy as clearing the site cache.

Yes I can access the dash because I didnt save the changes. I tried clearing the cache but nothing. I'll keep tampering though.

Do you think a fresh install will help?

It's definitely worth a shot.

Sounds like something might be messed up in the database tables that the Calendar add-on uses. I'm looking into it.

Let me know if re-installing solves it.

Hey again,

I'd be happy to take a quick look at this, but I'll need to log in to your dashboard to do so. Can you PM me the admin login and password?

Also: have you made any modifications to the Calendar add-on? The malformed SQL query in your screenshot has us scratching our heads...

Thanks for all your help. Reinstalling didn't help but we switched hosts and everything is all good.

Thanks again!
