Can this export products?
Permalink Browser Info Environment
I'm developing an eCommerce site on a local server before I move my changes to my live server. I want to be able to set up the products locally, export them to .xml files, then import them to the live site using the eCommerce Import tool. Does this tool have export functionality? I assumed that it does, but I couldn't find documentation anywhere.
Thanks.
Thanks.

No, eCommerce Import only supports import. I don't believe there are any add-ons for concrete5 that support product export.
Thanks for the quick reply. Do you anticipate ever supporting an export feature? If so, I would buy this add on. My organization wants to be able to set up the products on our staging server, then, when they're ready, make them all live with a series of imports. It looks like this guy also has the same desire:

eCommerce Import will not export data. It can only be used to import.

I would like to add export eventually. It's really a question of would it make economic sense to do so, though. A few people have asked about export since this add-on was first released, but only a few.
A lot of features that are in Import now are things that people have requested. Some of the smaller items that are good ideas I have implemented as part of support. Most of the larger or more complicated features, including the original development of the package, were funded by people that required the functionality.
If this is a critical feature for you, please send me a private message. Perhaps we could work out an arrangement for adding export functionality.
Thanks,
Todd

Just wanted to add a +1 for wanting the export feature! It would make life easier when setting up the template for import with all of the custom attributes.

I think this feature would be a great addition to an already terrific addon. Thanks for considering it.
