PNG images get displayed as JPEGs

Permalink Browser Info Environment
We've noticed a bug: images that are uploaded get displayed as JPG's in the site.
This is very unpractical when uploading transparent PNG's - as JPG's cannot be transparent.

It seems this is connected to this function:
getThemeResponsiveImageMap()
in the file: theme_supermint/themes/supermint/page_theme.php

Can we just remove this?
What will the effect be, will the site be less responsive??

Hi,
the getThemeResponsiveImageMap is there only to give some responsible size to the core, no more.
On which block and which template did you meet the issue ?

I think that this question will have more answer on the global forum of Concrete.

As you can see the issue is with Supermint theme and it happens in all content blocks, on all pages.

Multiple people have been reporting this as a bug, please fix it:
