How to get the search to work?

Permalink Browser Info Environment
This template already came with a search bar in the header area but it doesn't work, nor is it any sort of a block. Is it possible to get this to work, so when someone searches for something, the results are populated on a new page? or should I just remove it? Thanks.

I don't mean to sound snarky - but if you had read the all the details on the this themes MP page you would have read this:

"The search bar in the header requires you to have a page called 'search' at the top level (or you need to edit the header.php file to change the output location)."
